Pemanfaatan Tanaman Herbal dan Pembuatan Mosquito Trap dalam Upaya Pencegahan Demam Berdarah di Desa Wirun Kecamatan Mojolaban Kabupaten Sukoharjo

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) melalui pemanfaatan tanaman herbal dan pelatihan pembuatan mosquito trap di Desa Wirun, Kecamatan Mojolaban, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif dengan sasaran kader dan ibu-ibu PKK. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi pemeriksaan kesehatan awal, pengukuran pengetahuan melalui pretest, penyuluhan mengenai DBD dan pemanfaatan tanaman herbal sebagai pengusir nyamuk, workshop serta praktik langsung pembuatan mosquito trap, dan evaluasi melalui posttest. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta yang ditandai dengan kenaikan nilai rata-rata dari 76,67 pada pretest menjadi 88,33 pada posttest. Selain itu, peserta mampu membuat dan memahami penggunaan mosquito trap secara mandiri sebagai salah satu upaya pengendalian vektor nyamuk di lingkungan rumah tangga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini disimpulkan efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemampuan masyarakat serta mendukung penerapan pencegahan DBD berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat dan teknologi sederhana yang berkelanjutan
