Pemberdayaan Peternak Pascabanjir melalui Probiotik Hemat Pakan dan Manajemen Kandang di Deli Serdang

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan ekonomi keluarga peternak pascabanjir di Kabupaten Deli Serdang melalui penerapan probiotik hemat pakan, perbaikan manajemen kandang, dan penguatan pemasaran hasil ternak. Permasalahan utama mitra meliputi tingginya biaya pakan, rendahnya penerapan sanitasi dan biosecurity kandang, keterbatasan keterampilan pengolahan pakan, serta belum optimalnya pencatatan usaha dan pemasaran. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui tahapan koordinasi awal, asesmen baseline, pelatihan, praktik pembuatan probiotik herbal fermentasi, demonstrasi penggunaan mixer pakan dan mesin peleting, pendampingan pencatatan usaha, monitoring kepatuhan SOP, serta evaluasi endline. Teknologi yang diterapkan meliputi HerbaBio-Chick, Herbal Grow Promotor, mixer pakan ternak kapasitas 200 kg, dan mesin peleting pakan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa program mampu memperkuat kapasitas peternak dalam memproduksi probiotik dan pakan olahan secara mandiri, meningkatkan pemahaman tentang efisiensi pakan, sanitasi, biosecurity, serta mendorong pengelolaan usaha ternak yang lebih terukur. Program ini berpotensi menjadi model pemberdayaan peternak pascabencana berbasis teknologi tepat guna dan pendampingan berkelanjutan.
