Abstract

Prodi Teknik Sipil ITERA merangkul Sekolah Alam Lampung dalam melaksanakan program pembelajaran. Program ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan konsep dasar rekayasa lalu lintas kepada siswa kelas 5 SD Alam Lampung melalui program magang eksternal bertema ‘asisten dosen cilik’. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Fakultas Teknologi Infrastruktur dan Kewilayahan Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA), berlangsung selama 3 (tiga) hari dengan metode experiental learning: mulai dari pengenalan lingkungan kampus, pengamatan lalu lintas secara langsung, hingga pengolahan data penghitungan lalu lintas dalam bentuk diagram batang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa magang mampu memahami konsep dasar elemen dalam rekayasa lalu lintas berikut fungsinya, dan dapat berperan aktif dalam pengamatan kendaraan dan simulasi penghitungan lalu lintas. Program ini juga menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran konstekstual di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi dapat meningkatkan literasi lalu lintas sejak dini.
