Pemberdayaan Remaja Melalui Model Epidemiologi Sosial Berbasis Teknologi Informasi dalam Pencegahan Penyakit Menular Seksual pada Remaja

Penyakit menular seksual masih menjadi permasalahan kesehatan yang perlu mendapat perhatian pada kelompok remaja. Keterbatasan pengetahuan, stigma, serta pengaruh lingkungan sosial dapat meningkatkan kerentanan remaja terhadap penyakit menular seksual. Tujuan: Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran remaja mengenai penyakit menular seksual serta faktor sosial yang memengaruhi pencegahannya melalui pendekatan epidemiologi sosial berbasis teknologi informasi. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas X B SMA Negeri 3 Kotamobagu melalui edukasi menggunakan ceramah interaktif, tanya jawab, dan diskusi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengukuran pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi pada 30 peserta. Hasil kegiatan ini terdapat peningkatan proporsi jawaban benar pada seluruh indikator. Pengetahuan mengenai pengertian dan penularan penyakit menular seksual meningkat dari 60,0% menjadi 93,3%, strategi pencegahan dari 33,3% menjadi 86,7%, akar masalah PMS dari 40,0% menjadi 83,3%, faktor risiko sosial dari 36,7% menjadi 80,0%, dan pemahaman mengenai stigma dari 26,7% menjadi 73,3%. Edukasi dengan pendekatan epidemiologi sosial berbasis teknologi informasi berpotensi meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja mengenai penyakit menular seksual dan faktor sosial yang berkaitan dengan pencegahannya. Kegiatan berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk memperkuat penerapan pengetahuan dalam sikap dan praktik pencegahan penyakit menular seksual.
