Penguatan Konservasi Berbasis Masyarakat untuk Perlindungan Sumber Air dan Mitigasi Bencana di Kawasan Ekosistem Seulawah, Aceh Besar

Kawasan Sumber Air Alur Mancang Saree seluas sekitar 602 ha di Kawasan Ekosistem Seulawah berperan sebagai daerah tangkapan air bagi masyarakat Kemukiman Saree, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Forum Alur Mancang Saree sebagai mitra telah memiliki komitmen menjaga kawasan, tetapi menghadapi keterbatasan kapasitas teknis, sarana pemeliharaan air, dan perangkat kerja kelembagaan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memperkuat kemampuan masyarakat dalam melindungi daerah tangkapan air melalui rehabilitasi vegetasi, pemeliharaan sistem air gravitasi, dan penguatan kelembagaan. Pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dalam lima tahap: sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta perencanaan keberlanjutan. Data dihimpun melalui daftar hadir, observasi lapangan, inventarisasi produk, dokumentasi, dan catatan pemantauan. Program melibatkan 20 peserta, menanam 350 bibit tanaman serbaguna dari enam kelompok jenis, memeriksa jaringan distribusi air sekitar 3 km, membersihkan bak dan penyaring sedimen, serta menghasilkan draf prosedur operasional standar dan jadwal pemeliharaan. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan terbentuknya kombinasi teknologi fisik dan inovasi kelembagaan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan mitra. Dampak hidrologis dan ekonomi masih memerlukan pemantauan debit, kualitas air, kelangsungan hidup tanaman, dan manfaat ekonomi secara berkala.
