Pelatihan Dasar Aviation English untuk Komunikasi Darurat Melalui Vocabulary dan Basic Phraseology di ARFF Bandara Internasional SMB 2 Palembang

Komunikasi yang efektif merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung kesiapsiagaan personel Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) dalam menghadapi keadaan darurat penerbangan. Penguasaan kosakata teknis dan ungkapan bahasa Inggris yang relevan dengan konteks operasional diperlukan untuk mendukung pemahaman informasi dalam lingkungan penerbangan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi dasar Aviation English personel ARFF melalui pelatihan vocabulary dan basic phraseology di Bandara Internasional Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 8 September 2026 dengan melibatkan 12 personel ARFF. Metode pelatihan meliputi penyampaian materi, latihan kosakata penerbangan, praktik memahami informasi lisan, latihan ungkapan dasar, serta evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan nilai yang ditampilkan pada grafik evaluasi, rata-rata nilai peserta meningkat dari 53,75 pada pre-test menjadi 87,50 pada post-test, atau naik sebesar 33,75 poin. Seluruh peserta menunjukkan peningkatan nilai setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil ini menunjukkan capaian positif dalam pembelajaran dasar Aviation English, khususnya pada pengenalan kosakata dan ungkapan yang relevan dengan komunikasi darurat. Kegiatan ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan pelatihan lanjutan yang lebih kontekstual dan berkelanjutan bagi personel ARFF.
